Dr. Kenneth K. Azumah, a highly experienced software engineer, has amassed over two decades of experience in software engineering, network administration, and data quality monitoring. He has a PhD in Information Communication Technology, which he was awarded in February of 2023, for his thesis titled “Improving Data-sharing and Policy Compliance in a Hybrid Cloud: The Case of a Healthcare Provider.” In this project, Dr. Azumah utilized business process mining techniques in IT management to reform the global health ecosystem through the power of information and technology.
Dr. Azumah has effectively leveraged his profound knowledge and expertise in conceptualizing and implementing large data-intensive management systems, particularly for human resource and customer relationship management across multiple industries, with a focus on the health industry. One of his noteworthy accomplishments was spearheading the implementation of the Electronic Medical Records system at The Trust Hospital, which provided access to a wide-area network across nine facilities.
Apart from his professional accomplishments, Dr. Azumah is affiliated with the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), a mission-driven organization dedicated to transforming the global health ecosystem through the power of information and technology. Additionally, he has over five years of university-level teaching experience and boasts a strong background in web applications.
Dr. Azumah’s educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Ghana, a Master of Business Administration degree from Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden, and a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering & Information Technology from Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences, Germany.
