David Tamakloe Sosu

David Tamakloe Sosu is a results-oriented health services administrator with over a decade of progressive experience leading non-clinical hospital operations, policy planning, and performance monitoring in Ghana’s healthcare sector.

He currently serves as the Acting Head of Hospital Administration & Support Services, overseeing essential operational units such as Procurement, Maintenance, Security, Biomedical Engineering, General Stores, and Environmental Health.

David served as the Head of Policy, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (PPME) at The Trust Hospital Company Limited, where he led hospital-wide strategic alignment, institutional KPIs, data-driven performance reviews, and business continuity planning.

Before joining The Trust Hospital, David held senior administrative leadership roles at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, where he oversaw hospital-wide strategic planning, quality improvement, procurement, human resource management, and operational coordination.

As Principal Health Service Administrator and previously as Senior Administrative Manager in the PPME Unit, he played a key role in developing institutional policies, implementing SOPs, facilitating client and staff satisfaction surveys, and driving healthcare delivery reforms that ensured compliance, efficiency, and quality care.

David is known for his structured, collaborative leadership style and ability to align support services with institutional goals and clinical priorities. His work spans across hospital expansion initiatives, infrastructure planning, emergency preparedness, and procurement reform.

In addition to his core administrative work, he has supported youth development through his role as General Manager for ACES Ghana Entrepreneurial Centre, a capacity-building NGO.

He holds an MBA in Health Services Administration, a BSc in Economics, and a Diploma in Statistics, all from the University of Ghana. His professional development includes specialised training in health systems management and leadership, policy and programme evaluation, financial and procurement management in healthcare, and quality improvement.

David’s expertise and passion lie in strengthening health systems, optimizing hospital operations, and driving continuous improvement in service delivery.
