Professor Ben Baffoe-Bonnie is a retired individual who has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the growth and development of Ghana. His focus has been on several key areas, including health, climate change, and agriculture-related diseases, education and security matters.
Prof. Baffoe-Bonnie has participated in several seminars and conferences that have furthered his expertise in these areas. Notably, he attended the Conference on the Role of LCPUFAs in Infant Nutrition with SMA Nutrition in Lagos, Nigeria in October 2009. He also participated in the Meeting of the Steering and Planning Committee of DCA/Malaria Associated Lactic Acidosis Clinical Trial in London, the 4th International African Symposium on Sickle Cell Disease in October 1997, and the Conference on Sickle Cell Disease in the 21st Century in Washington DC in September 1997.
Prof. Baffoe-Bonnie has made significant contributions to the field of medicine through his numerous publications. He has also held important positions in the medical community, including serving as a Lecturer in Paediatrics at the School of Medical Sciences at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology from 1980 to 2010 and as a Consultant Paediatrician at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital from 1980 to 2010.
Prof. Baffoe-Bonnie’s expertise was recognized by his peers, and he was invited to serve as a panelist at the 4th Annual Conference of the Paediatrics Association of Ghana in Accra in 1997. He has also been involved in the Union of National African Paediatric Societies and Associations (UNAPSA), African Children under Especially Difficult Circumstances in Kampala, Uganda, which was sponsored by IPA between November and December 1996.
