Professor Enoch Opoku Antwi is a distinguished academic, leadership consultant, public intellectual, and multi-award-winning professor whose career spans over two decades across three continents. Currently serving as the Dean of Business Administration and Communication Arts at Academic City University College in Accra, Ghana, Professor Antwi has played a crucial role in shaping the university’s academic direction. His leadership was acknowledged in his first year with the prestigious Leadership Excellence and Mentorship Excellence Awards. As Chair of the Academic Affairs Committee and a vital member of several strategic committees, he has driven institutional growth, faculty development, and international collaborations. Notably, he organized the university’s first International Conference on Financial Technology and Business Innovation in October 2024.
Beyond academia, Prof. Antwi is the Founder and CEO of Substance Magazine, often referred to as “Africa’s Fortune Magazine,” which aims to spotlight leadership and entrepreneurial success stories across the continent.
Professor Antwi’s academic journey has taken him around the world. He was a Visiting Professor at SALT University College in Ghana, where he taught transformational and servant leadership to doctoral students. Previously, he served as Associate Professor of Leadership and Management at Viterbo University in Wisconsin, USA, where he directed the Master of Arts in Servant Leadership and earned the title of Professor of the Year during his first year. He also led curriculum development, established honour societies, and supervised over 100 graduate theses.
Other notable academic roles include the Head of Organizational Leadership at Chippewa Valley Technical College (USA), the Head of Business Administration at Daymar Colleges Group (USA), and an Adjunct Professor at Thomas More University (USA).
Professor Antwi is also a renowned international leadership consultant, having established ENBEES Business Consulting in Ghana and the Enoch Servant Leadership Foundation in the USA. These organizations offer training in leadership, change management, governance, and entrepreneurship to communities and professionals across Africa, the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
Earlier in his career, he held roles in both government and the private sector, including Regional Director for the German Technical Cooperation (GTZ/KFW) in Ghana, Manager at Pearson VUE, USA, small business owner of two Caribbean restaurants in Ohio, radio show host, educator, and public policy advocate.
Professor Antwi holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University, with a dissertation on governance and corruption in Africa. He also earned a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Mount St. Joseph University, where he was named the university’s Best Graduate Student. His undergraduate degree in Educational Psychology and Accounting was awarded by the University of Cape Coast, Ghana.
