Ambassador Edith Hazel is a distinguished diplomat and seasoned public servant with over 40 years of leadership experience in governance, international relations, and public service. She serves as Board Chair of The Trust Hospital, providing strategic oversight, strong corporate governance, and values-driven leadership in support of high-quality, patient-centred healthcare.
She has represented the Republic of Ghana in senior diplomatic roles, including as Ambassador to Denmark with concurrent accreditation to Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland and Deputy Head of Mission in Washington, DC, and previously served as a Member of Parliament. Ambassador Hazel brings deep board-level experience, diplomatic acumen, and a strong understanding of public health systems, aligning closely with The Trust Hospital’s mission to deliver accessible and affordable healthcare.
