Trust Clinic Dansoman Launches Round-the-Clock 24-hour Services

Trust Clinic Dansoman, one of six clinics under The Trust Hospital Company Limited, has officially launched a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week healthcare service on the 30th of January, marking a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to expanding access to quality medical care for residents of Dansoman and surrounding communities.

Speaking at the launch, the Supervising Director of The Trust Hospital Company Limited, Dr. Henry Alhasasan, described the introduction of the 24 hours- 7 days a week service at the clinic as a strategic and people-centred decision aimed at removing time barriers to healthcare access.

“Our 24-hour service is more than an operational expansion; it is a promise, a promise that no one in this community will be turned away because of the time on the clock,” he said.

Dr. Alhasasan emphasised that the round-the-clock service guarantees professional medical attention at all hours, ensuring healthcare remains accessible, dependable, and close to home. He also commended the dedication of the clinic’s doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, and support staff.

“These are men and women who will respond with the same professionalism at 2:00 a.m. as at 2:00 p.m. Their sacrifice and commitment are the backbone of this 24-hour service,” he noted.

The launch follows a steady increase in patient numbers and sustained demand for healthcare services beyond regular working hours, driven by the clinic’s reputation for high-quality care and its strong relationship with the community.

Head of Facility, Dr David Ntiamoah, explained that persistent resident requests made the decision both timely and necessary.

“Community members have long advocated for extended services, often describing a 24-hour operation as long overdue,” he said, “Today marks a major milestone in the history of Trust Hospital Company Limited, one that will significantly improve healthcare delivery in Dansoman and its surrounding communities.”

Dr. Ntiamoah disclosed that the clinic formally submitted a proposal to the management of  The Trust Hospital Company Limited after assessing patient needs and service demand. Following a thorough review process, the proposal was approved, paving the way for the official launch of the 24-hour service.

The Municipal Chief Executive of the Ablekuma West Municipal Assembly, Hon. George Kpakpo Allotey, welcomed the initiative, describing it as timely and aligned with the national vision of a 24-hour economy, where essential services remain accessible to meet the needs of ordinary Ghanaians.

He noted that by extending services beyond traditional working hours, Trust Clinic Dansoman is not only improving access to quality healthcare but also enhancing productivity, safety, and economic resilience within the municipality.

Similarly, the Member of Parliament for the Ablekuma West Constituency, Hon. Rev. Kweku Addo, expressed his delight that families would no longer struggle to access medical care during late-night hours or emergencies.

Drawing on biblical principles, the MP observed that illness does not respect the calendar or the clock, reinforcing the need for continuous access to care.

In a show of support, the Honourable MP and the MCE jointly donated ten (10) streetlights to improve safety around the clinic and its environs, particularly along previously poorly lit access roads.

A long-standing client of the clinic, Dr. Alexander Archine, praised Trust Clinic Dansoman for its consistent progress over the years.

“The quality of service at Trust Clinic Dansoman has steadily improved, and the introduction of a 24-hour service shows that the hospital truly listens to its patients,” he said.

He added that the 24-hour service was a step in the right direction.
