We are looking for an experienced Deputy Head of Finance to assist in obtaining good internal and external audit results, support the Finance department in providing accurate and timely financial statements, oversee controls to safeguard company assets, and act as a business partner to support profitable growth.

  • Ensure implementation of Company Financial policies and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, credit control and payroll.
  • Implement and develop adequate internal control procedures, best practices and periodical reviews to prevent any abnormal actions.
  • Assist and participates in the preparation of various financial statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues.
  • Direct the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue mobilization, depreciation, cost, property, operating expenses, inter-company reconciliation and insurance records.
  • Drive the credit control function within the Company in coordination with Credit Control unit by minimizing write off’s, preventing reconciliation issues with customers and reducing bad debts.
  • Manage bank relationships, optimize Treasury Operations to ensure good cash flow management.
  • Participation in costing analyses and price reviews.
  • Support internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls.
  • Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
  • Ensure Tax compliance, implementation of remediation actions following tax assessments.
  • Identify and groom talents, team build-up through knowledge transfer, rotation and training.
  • Master’s degree in Finance.
  • Accountancy qualification (e.g. ICAG, CIMA OR ACCA).
  • At least 5 years post qualification experience.
  • Hospital Experience will be an advantage.
  • IFRS and Financial best practices.
  • Technical strong leader with ability to operate both at strategical and operational level.
  • Business savvy and passionate about finance in pursuit of profitable growth.
  • High integrity combined with a commitment to good governance.
  • Possesses strong leadership skills with significant experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal & presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Detail oriented and hands-on person.
  • Excellent organization, time management, decision-making and IT skills.
