Job Brief
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Obstetrician Gynaecologist to join our facility. He/she will be responsible for testing, diagnosing, treating and monitoring disease and issues relating to women’s health.
Key Responsibilities
- To ensure the highest clinical standards are met in the provision of Obstetrics and Gynaecological services.
- To facilitate the development and update of clinical protocols and guidelines for the effective management of patients in the specialty.
- To contribute to quality improvement initiatives and strategies to enhance patient care and safety.
- To teach, train and mentor younger medical and nursing personnel and ensure a progressive academic environment.
- To perform operational research to contribute to evidence based practice in the department.
Qualifications Experience & Competencies
- Must be in good standing with the Medical and Dental council.
- Must be a Senior Specialist or Fellow of the Ghana/West African College of Surgeons or its equivalent in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
- Added advantages include a) additional qualification and skill in any Obstetric or Gynaecology subspecialty with external collaborations with colleagues in the related field outside Ghana.
- Additional qualifications in health administration or clinical leadership.
- Must have considerable strategic, interpersonal and analytical skills with a deep understanding and appreciation of the health sector systems with respect to maternal health.
- Must be performance – driven and keen to achieve results.
- Must be an innovator and a good team player.
